Caravan storage - store your caravan safely away from home

Storing your caravan away from your home address has a few advantages.  Many caravan insurance companies give discount for caravans stored at a designated storage site.  It is not so obvious when you are away from home in the caravan, as a caravan stored at a home address is obvious by its absence and gives an open invitation for thieves and burglars.

Of course, storing a caravan away from home also has it disadvantages.  You have to plan your trips a little more carefully as you can't just 'up and go' and the caravan has to be returned to storage at the end of the trip.  However, for security conscious individuals and those just without enough room to store their caravan, remote storage is the best solution.  It also means that you and your neighbours don't have to look at the caravan all the time!

There is an organisation that all respetable storage sites should be member of and that is the Caravan Storage Site Owners' Association or CaSSOA for short.  CaSSOA are the nationally recognised body providing an official register of safe and secure storage sites.  They grade caravan storage sites by the facilities available and you can use their web site to check for a caravan storage site in your area.
